Essential Oil Coaching
What Is Essential Oil Coaching?
In addition to being Life Sprout’s owner and a chiropractor, Dr. Alex is an Essential Oil Coach certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. With this certification Dr. Alex has specific training in essential oils and how they can work to support the body with different ailments and conditions. As a disclaimer, essential oils do not “cure” anything, but can offer support and relief in a similar manner to traditional western medical pharmeceuticals. Many oils contain the same compounds that are synthesized in a lab and reproduced in a drug. Essential oils have very few side effects, many benefits, and are able to be used by everyone from infants to grandparents (with correct dilution and knowledge of the risks and benefits associated with each oil).
Life Sprout is pleased to offer consultations with Dr. Alex on Thursday afternoons for those interested in learning more about which essential oils may be able to help support their health concerns and health goals, as well as a tutorial on how to use them.
What Is An Essential Oil?
Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, and flowers of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant, eliciting profound emotional responses. Yet the use of essential oils goes well beyond their fragrant appeal. Used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits, essential oils can be used as natural alternatives in holistic self-care practices. Their unique chemistry allows them to be used aromatically and applied topically to the skin, while other essential oils can be used as dietary aids to promote vitality and well being.
At Life Sprout we use and stock all Certified Therapeutic Grade and/or USDA Organic oils. In the oil quality hierarchy these two offer the most rigorous testing to insure the purity of the oils and the presence of the healing compounds they contain. If you have any questions about which oils we recommend, what we carry or how to get started using them, please call our office at 907-451-7000.
