What to Expect

Looking to get in to see one of Fairbank’s top chiropractors, Rolfer, massage therapist or physical therapist as soon as possible? Whether you are an established practice member or coming in for the first time, our friendly staff will ensure we get you in as soon as possible.

We are located on Illinois Street across the street from GVEA in the old FE buildings. The entrance for parking is at the Tanana Office Park sign. We are in the white house with blue trim.

Upon entering our office, one of our front desk receptionists will welcome you as a member of our family. We will give you a tour of our office, and will request that you complete our patient forms that provides us with your health history and information on your condition. While sometimes seemingly tedious, it is important our providers to get a full picture of the state of your health. This helps us identify things contributing to your current condition, and better formulate a plan that is right for you and your health needs.

After you’ve completed the paperwork, our providers will spend some time discussing what brings you into the office, and what your health needs and goals are at this time.

Following the consultation, and with your consent, we will perform a complete examination, which may vary depending on which provider you see. In the chiropractic realm, an exam in our office will not be what you’re expecting. We test the function of your brain using a series of simple tests such as balance and marching in place. We also test the overall support system of your spine (your core) with some strength exercises, analyze posture, and do orthopedic and neurological testing as needed. Using the findings from this exam, our chiropractors will determine the presence of vertebral subluxation, a misalignment of the spine that causes interference with the brain’s ability to communicate with the body, and thereby dis-ease in the body.

If one of our doctors determines you do have vertebral subluxations, you will receive your first adjustment. An adjustment is a specific, gentle force applied to the spine that removes the interference to the nervous system caused by vertebral subluxations, and restores proper function to the body.

Report of Findings

Dr. Alex, Dr. Aimee, or Dr. Mike will review all of the information gathered during the exam, including your health history and goals, and create a detailed report of findings for you. This report will answer the following questions:

  1. How can you help me?
  2. How often do I need to come in?
  3. What will my care include?
  4. What will my treatment cost?

At this time we will also answer any other questions you may have, and give you all the information you need to make a choice about how you would like to proceed with care in our office. This Report of Findings is included in the cost of the first visit.
